A, Schild

Overview

A. Schild was initially tangentially involved with the development of 36,000 BPH movements. The company's AS 1687/1688 manual wind movement was the original base movement, Eberhard, Favre Leuba, Girard Perregaux and Zodiac used as the platform to develop their automatic high frequency movements.

Ultimately A. Schild came out with their own movement, an automatic, day/date movement caliber AS 1920 was developed and sold in 1970. This movement was sold to Hamilton, Lucien Piccard, and Mido for their use. It is likely other watches were produced using this movement. If you know of any other watches which used this movement, please let me know by submitting "additional information".

ASSA

Although I've never seen one, A. Schild apparently produced watches under the ASSA brand and produced a 36000 BPH watch using their AS 1920 movement.
